#RPGaDAY - Day 8

Every year, the hashtag #RPGaDAY makes its way around the social medias, and gamers try their damnedest to answer each question every day. Most fail. I probably will too. BUT. I will try!

Today's question: What is a good RPG to play for session of 2 hours or less?

I think the easiest answer for this one is that any game can be played in under two hours as long as the GM and players manage their time. However, in the interest of specificity I'll give a real answer.

No Thank You, Evil! In my opinion this is the de facto game for younger players - and when you are talking about running or playing RPGs with younger kiddos brevity is the key to success. As such, NTYE is designed at its core to be played in 1-2 hour sessions.

The really wonderful thing about this game is that it is scalable for age appropriateness. The game can be run in as little as about 30 minutes when you are playing with 3-5 year olds, and can realistically be stretched into full-blown 4 hour sessions. But the sweet spot for No Thank You, Evil is definitely in the 1-2 hour range.

Having played this with my three year old daughter I can make this recommendation with 100% confidence!
