Every year, the hashtag #RPGaDAY makes its way around the social medias, and gamers try their damnedest to answer each question every day. Most fail. I probably will too. BUT. I will try!
Today's question: What RPG have you played the most since August 2016?
This is a close race between two well known RPGs: Savage Worlds and Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons. There haven't been many weeks in the last year when I wasn't running or playing either of these games.
Savage is my home group's go-to system, so I tend to play it pretty often. The thing with Savage, though, is that it can handle a bevy of settings, so it can sometimes seem like you're playing a different game every time you change settings. Over the year I've played in Lankhmar, Tour of Darkness, Thin Blue Line, and Sixth Gun.
D&D on the other hand, is just about always D&D. Whether you're in Greyhawk or Forgotten Realms or a homebrew setting, the game mostly feels the same. So, I guess for me, 5E takes the cake on this question. Between Secrets of Duncaster, other online games, and my home one-to-one game I've played a LOT of 5E.
Which isn't bad.
