#RPGaDAY - Day 1

Writer: The Closet GamerThe Closet Gamer

Every year, the hashtag #RPGaDAY makes its way around the social medias, and gamers try their damnedest to answer each question every day. Most fail. I probably will too. BUT. I will try!

Today's question: What published RPG do you wish you were playing right now?

This is an easy one for me. Ever since it was announced on Kickstarter, Tales from the Loop has caught my eye and my heart. Everything about this game speaks to me, from the gorgeous art to the very concept of the game.

Tales from the Loop

What caught my attention originally was the hyper realistic art of Simon Stålenhag. Every image is so evocative and bordering on surreal, that it just begs to be explored further. The book is jammed to the gills with image after image that is haunting, inspiring, and fantastical in every way. Seriously, you need to see this book.

Then there's the theme. I had just finished watching Stranger Things right around the time the game was Kickstarted. Still reeling from that amazing show, and wanting more, more, more - I knew I had to have this game. The idea of exploring the youthful innocence and naivety of a child has always intrigued me, and having a game designed around that is the kind of push I need to actually do it.

Now it's just a matter of finding someone to run it, or people to run it for!
